I preffer pricing and package information from people who have actually held a wedding there, but everyones help on this topic is highly appreciated. I have checked out the websites for the 3 major Venues which are Calafia Hotel, Rosarito Beach Hotel, and Las Rocas Resort & Spa, but the information is very limited. As a newly ordained minister my brother is trying to meet the needs of couples who may have difficulty finding clergy to officiate their wedding ceremoney.

He has a non denominational christian prison ministry but would like to also make himself available to interfaith couples, military couples and couples where one partner may be incarcerated but wishes to make vows while in jail or prison.

During his prison ministry he met an inmate whose fiancee was pregnant and wished to be married but the couple was unable to find a clergy to officiate the wedding.
Can anyone suggest a way for a minister to make his services available to couples who may be having difficulties finding clergy due to extenuating circumstances?

Do you think weddings are for show and a waste of money?
I had a semi formal relaxed wedding but if I could do it all over I would have gotten married in the mountains with my pastor and a few witnesses.

Too many cooks spoil the broth I have the prividge of renewing my vows in the fall with peace and quiet and without interference of contention as I had when we first we married.

What is the REAL pupose of a wedding anyway. Isnt it more important to be married and stay married? Without all the hoopla and brew ha-ha and fuss?

What is your take on this?

For example, excerpts from the love and marriage sections of The Prophet are often used in wedding ceremonies, so some people may consider that to be an unoriginal choice.

Maybe I should clarify and say “often used” instead of “over used”…often these things are used so much because they are fitting for the event!
